Nine Months Already? September 2006 - May 2007
Lily & Maverick ~ Two Years Old
Maverick's office days are over. At some point he decided that customers in our store were not a good idea. Fortunately, we don't let him run the place. That little puffball is Sera stopping by for a visit after Maverick's bed had been abandoned. Then we brought the bed home, and Douggie took it over. If you haven't seen it, check out "Whose Bed is it Anyway?" for the last time this happened!
Look at the adorable bunnies the guys found at work! No wonder Maverick was so excited about that area of the lawn. Needless to say, he didn't get to play with them. Sorry, Mav.
Laziness to the extreme: Random pictures of all the pets finding good places for a nap. This is not an action shot of Maverick. He's sleeping like that.
These pics are from late fall. I decided to truly torture Lily by giving Maverick a bone that was so big she wouldn't be able to carry it. He knew it was for him and would NOT let her near it. He usually lets her push him around, but he chooses his battles. This bone was worth sticking up to her for!
Awww, my nice couch potatoes. And just when you thought they were all grown up and done hossing....
The last snow of the season is melting here, and you can see Maverick is gearing up for some long hours sunning on the porch this summer.
Yay for springtime again! I spent some time digging up lily bulbs near the shed (poisonous to dogs, kind of ironic - but Lily was named after water lilies, not Easter lilies). Anyway, I think all I did was teach Lily how to dig up lily bulbs. What a hoss. And here's Stealth Hoss Miss Bib, sneaking out already when she's supposed to be an indoor cat.
Anne came to visit to give the dogs their Bordetella vaccines and flea/heartworm treatment (yay for having a sister who works at a vet's office). They forgave her pretty quickly. Both these pictures show Lily trying to attack Anne and Maverick thwarting her attempts. Good Big Buddy.
Look at me - 37 weeks pregnant!
Now we're all just waiting for the baby. See the squirt bottle? That's me daring the cats to jump in the crib. Iris tried it once and I don't think she'll do it again. Douggie just doesn't have the motivation to hoss like he used to. Well, OK, maybe the hossing instinct is still there, but the jumping up and into the crib exceeds the effort he's willing to put into it.
