Maverick - 7 weeks
I wasn't expecting to have a brand new puppy at work today, but fortunately all Maverick wanted to do was sleep. Lily wasn't sure what to do about the puppy-in-her-bed situation, but eventually they figured out a compromise.
The terror threat was raised to "orange" in the office due to the suspicious newcomer, so Lily was on heightened security detail.
Sleepy time again. So much for compromise....
Mav has been super mellow all day, but Lily is still VERY concerned.
July 30, 2005: I am still faster. I'm going to enjoy this while it lasts.
New puppies need to experience something new every day. Today: car rides, lots of strange people, Lily, stairs. Mav clearly hasn't figured all of these things out yet.
Lily is going to get quite the surprise one day when she wakes up and Maverick is bigger than her!
By the end of the first day, Lily is starting to accept the new pup.
Day 2: Ryan comes home to a little surprise. And Maverick turns out to be quite the little cuddlebug!
With this brand new puppy running around, all of a sudden our 4-month-old Lily looks all grown up!
